Chief Executive Officer

Frank Thomas, Chief Executive Officer of Genstar Development Company (Canada) and GDC Communities (USA), has been with the company since 1977. He has a degree in Mechanical Engineering and an MBA. Frank started his career at Genstar in Calgary as Senior Engineer and subsequently held various positions of progressive responsibility. After assuming the position of President and Chief Executive Officer, in 1994 Frank relocated the Genstar Corporate Office to San Diego. In 2001 he founded GDC Communities to acquire Genstar Development Company from its parent company, and to provide a foundation for new US investments and operations. As Chief Executive Officer, Frank provides oversight for the business and strategic planning of both Genstar Development Company and GDC Communities.

Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer

Gina Papandrea, Chief Financial Officer for GDC Communities and Genstar Development Company (Canada), and Executive Vice President for GDC Communities, has been with the company since 1995. As CFO and EVP, Gina is a member of the Acquisition and Audit Committees. She is responsible for strategic financial planning and forecasting, bank negotiations and relations, financial accounting and analysis, tax, treasury, and administrative functions. Gina directs the acquisition strategy in the U.S., oversees due diligence, and guides deal structuring and negotiations with sellers and partners.

James Hammermeister, President of Genstar Development Company (Canada), has been with the company since 1989. James began his career at Genstar in Edmonton, Alberta, as Development Manager and has subsequently held various positions of progressive responsibility in Ottawa, Ontario and Calgary, Alberta. James recently relocated to the Corporate Office in San Diego, California to assume his current role. As President, James oversees the implementation of the Business and Strategic planning of Genstar Development Company. He holds a Master's degree in Planning.

DAVID WATERS
Director of Business Development

David Waters, Director of Business Development for GDC Communities, has been with the company since 2008. Prior to joining GDC, David worked as the Director of Land Acquisition for the San Diego division of KB Home. In his almost 10 years with KB Home, David was involved in all aspects of the acquisition and development process, including developing strategy, purchasing assets, managing the entitlement and development teams and pricing the finished homes. As Director of Business Development at GDC, David is responsible for developing the company's asset placement strategy, identifying properties and partners for new acquisitions and oversight of existing assets and partners.
